We are seeking well-qualified scientists to serve as Research Investigators at several company locations within the United States. Candidates with a Ph.D. in Separations Science , Polymer Chemistry , Materials Science , or related disciplines, who are current graduates or have up to five years of experience in their field, are encouraged to apply.
Job locations may include: Wilmington, DE; Richmond, VA; Buffalo, NY; Edina, MN, and Midland, MI.

Our ResearchInvestigators define, lead, and execute technical programs focused on creating new materials and establishing a fundamental understanding of them, so that they can be manifested into new products or potentially entire technology platforms.
More specifically, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Defining, leading, and executing material and productdevelopment programs
Conducting lab work and/or directing the work ofone or more lab technicians
Participating in cross-functional teams, representedby various technical and non-technical disciplines
Working closely with individuals and teams focusedon application developments
Partnering with engineers to scale processes topilot and commercial production
Managing intellectual property (IP);understanding relevant IP and competitive landscapes and actively developingnew IP
Partnering with external consultants, vendors,and other entities to efficiently execute programs, as needed
Writing and communicating technical reports andpresentations
Being an active member of the broader technologycommunity within Safety & Construction and DuPont
Ph.D. in SeparationsScience , Polymer Chemistry , Materials Science , or relateddiscipline, from an accredited institution
Experience at the post-doctoral level will beconsidered as will work experience up to five years beyond graduation/post-doccompletion
Diverse and substantial background knowledge inthe areas of separations science, material science, chemistry, and/or materialprocess technologies
Solid understanding of polymerstructure-property relationships as applied to bioprocessing separations
Experience with polymeric resins and membranesused for bioprocessing separations
