DuPont Transportation & Advanced Polymers (T&AP) – Nylon Enterprise & Polyesters group (NEP) - is seeking a Lab Technician to join our Experimental Station Research & Development team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine experimental and testing duties.

Main job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with and perform sample preparation of variousresin blends under guidance of a researcher.

  • Document laboratory work using provided laboratory notebook (ELN).

  • Make polymer blends and run lab experiments.

  • Provide materials, submit run-requests and be availableto support Semi-works operations area when samples are run.

  • After samples are generated, coordinate and runrequired testing as needed (tensile, flex, impact, rheology, moisture, DSC,TGA, and DMA, among others).

  • Follow and help prepare SOPs.

  • Support PSM by preparing and maintaining S26As.

  • Maintain and distribute testing results in organized electronicspreadsheets.

  • Ordering and purchasing of lab chemicals and supplies.

  • Coordinate import and export of samples.

  • Maintain chemical, resin and experimental sample inventory.

  • Coordinate outside laboratory testing includingshipping samples following DOT requirements.

  • Participate in team meetings including safety.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the facilitiesand safety.

  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-pacedenvironment

  • Knowledge or working experience with polymers ispreferred.

  • Ability to learn a wide variety of testing methods andinstruments.

  • Computer skills with Microsoft office knowledge andElectronic Lab Notebook.

  • A good work ethic with high work standards.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability toeffectively prioritize, organize, and plan responsibilities.

  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong understanding of PSM.
