This initiative is poised to grow handsomely in the coming years by maximizing the global growth opportunity for brand licensing and product sales into B2C spaces.
The B2C team is looking for a results-oriented business development and consumer products applications leader. This role is responsible for driving new business in consumer segments by working with new and existing strategic brand houses and converters to identify and develop product and brand licensing opportunities to achieve revenue goals and build our brands globally.
Key Deliverables/Objectives of the role
Develop and execute strategies for targeted end uses of S&C materials in consumer applications and support strategic selling and market assessment activities as an application expert
Consult with customers to understand requirements and align solutions and services in support of brand licensing and consumer product development.
Drive new product development for consumer applications with strategic customers globally(brand houses and converters) to understand requirements and align solutions and services by defining application requirements and technical specification of consumer products with DuPont materials
Manage opportunity pipeline, identify key success and failure modes for opportunities and develop a process to communicate and institutionalize experiences; maintain weekly/monthly sales plan and provide accurate pipeline forecasting
Work with the LOBs Field Sales and Field Technical resources globally in support of B2C product development needs and to identify opportunities to license brands and other B2C business opportunities
Stay current with market trends and innovation areas in key consumer segments; maintains comprehensive product, brand, and industry knowledge
Coordinate cross-functional efforts, articulate project plans, and supply chain readiness to commercialize new products in accordance with the consumer product companies’ timelines and specifications; provide support to Product Stewardship & Regulatory requirements
Responsible for preparation and delivery of consumer product prototypes, sales presentations, demonstrations, solution proposal, responses to tenders; represent the company at marketing events, networking events, meetings with prospects or partners
Develop business plans for new B2C opportunities in collaboration with each LOB in alignment with the strategy and implement key programs with milestone driven granular execution
Confidence and ability to work directly with customers and suppliers at a technically detailed level
An understanding of the textile supply chain and textile processes as well as other target consumer segment areas such as composites
Ability to learn new technologies and supply chains and creatively develop solutions with DuPont brands and materials for consumer application
Collaborative team player, with experience building and developing strong relationships internally and externally
Skills in building credibility across a broad range of teams and functions, including product specialists, manufacturing, and new-product development
History of project ownership, project management, and driving projects to completion
Demonstrated credibility and success working internationally
Excellent presentation and demonstration skills.
Experience of working in global environment
Proven track record in effectively developing Business Development strategy and delivering results through others
New Business Model/Business Building orientation
High energetic, passion and results orientation
Four-year engineering or science degree and 10+ years of experience in engineering or product development in consumer products related industries
Fluency in Outlook, Microsoft products, especially Excel and PowerPoint, required
