The DuPont Company has an opening for an Accounts Payable Compliance Analyst located in Wilmington, DE. The Accounts Payable Compliance Analyst is responsible to ensure accounting activity recorded within the company's records and books are accurate and complete. In addition, this role is expected to adhere to the company's accounting policy and practices as well as the country Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Summary Description

The Compliance Analyst supports the Finance Compliance processes and the Regional Accounts Payable Leads to drive regulatory and local compliance reporting, assessments and reviews. S/he will drive operational audits to identify compliance issues and continuous improvement opportunities. The Compliance Analyst is accountable to deliver complex analytics and reporting to support audits, compliance and exception management.

The individual in this role will work independently to accomplish his/her own assigned workload and collaboratively with other members of his/ her Accounts Payable or cross functional team in compliance with the approved Procure to Pay process standards at the agreed service levels.


The Compliance Analyst partners closely with the Disbursement Leads, Finance and Compliance Leader to:

  • Assess compliance risk, perform operational compliance reviews, and complete controls testing

  • Drive analytics to support compliance metrics and exception monitoring

  • Perform root cause analyses and business process improvement activities to eliminate the root cause of compliance exceptions

  • Assist in development and maintenance of compliance monitoring process standards and procedures

  • Support project analytics.

  • Act as team member or leader as required with Procure to Pay initiatives

  • Develop relationships with local tax focal points and audit partners

  • Act as global liaison in region with tax and legal focal points

  • Act as regional focal point for internal and external audits

  • Support metrics data capture, analysis and reporting to support compliance and controls performance reporting.

  • Ensure global engagement with finance and compliance team.



BS/BA degree, specialization in Accounting or Finance preferred

3+ years' experience in accounting

Disbursements or controller experience preferred

SOX, statutory compliance, or audit experience preferred

SAP and Accounts Payables systems experience a plus

*This position will require travel during the first 3 months for training in Bay City, MI*
