Maintenance/Millwright (Job Number: 194300W-01)
Corteva Agriscience™, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont™, has an opportunity for a Maintenance/Millwright Technician to join our Woodhull, IL dual crop plant! Typical duties include, but are not limited to:
Performs preventive maintenance conducted on fieldand plant equipment/machinery, vehicles, & facilities.
Troubleshoot and diagnose problem
Ensureequipment/machinery, vehicles, andfacilities repaired and operating properly.
Maintaineffective teamwork & communication.
Followprocedures to ensure safety is maintained and risks are managed.
Complete necessary administrative tasks.
Conducts self using the Corteva personal andprofessional standards and ethics.
Thefollowing are required:
HighSchool Diploma or GED
1-2years of experience in a maintenance or mechanical related field
Committed to maintaininghigh safety and work standards
Willing and able toclimb and/or work in elevated areas; standing and sitting for extended periods
Willing and able to workboth outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet and dry conditions
Willing and able to liftup to 50 lbs. and complete work that involves repetitive motion and/orrepetitive lifting
Position has potentialexposure to hazards such as electric shock or moving parts
Willingness and abilityto work overtime hours including weekend work required during seasonal peaks
Rotating shift workrequired that includes days, nights, and weekends
The following are preferred:
Knowledge of production agricultureand associated machinery
Knowledge of materials handlingequipment (i.e., conveyors, elevator legs, packaging equipment, etc.) orother mechanical/electrical systems
Ability to read and interpretparts and shop manuals
Technical problem solvingskills; skill in troubleshooting mechanical problems in a systematicmanner and able to quickly determine maintenance or repair needed
Good verbal, written, andinterpersonal communication skills
Able to adjust quickly tochanging conditions and multiple priorities
Organized with continuousimprovement orientation
Knowledge of telephone systems
Good PC skills
Millwright, welding, and/orfabrication skills
Truck and forklift drivingskills
Experience with preventativemaintenance
Knowledge of lean manufacturingprinciples such as 5S, Continuous Improvement and Standardized Work are aplus
